Here at Newton Westpark Nursery, we pride ourselves on building fantastic relationships with children and their parents/carers. This also has a positive impact on children’s learning when we all work together to support each other.

Gemma

Nursery Manager

Gemma, Nursery Manager

My name is Gemma. I am the Nursery Manager here at Newton Westpark Nursery. I joined the team in June 2022. I have almost 20 years’ experience in childcare, in a range of different positions. I have achieved a Foundation Degree in The Integrated Education and Care of Children and Young People, as well as a Level 5 in Management. I have gained lots of experience over the years, supporting me in my role as an Early Years Educator. I hold First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene qualifications. I am also the Designated Safeguarding Lead of the setting.

I absolutely love working with children and being a part of their early learning journey, which prepares them for their next adventure at school. I enjoy watching children grow from young babies and toddlers, into confident little pre-school children, ready to face the challenges ahead at school. It is a pleasure to have such a huge impact on children and their development, watching them learn and grow.
